A stoma is an opening that connects part of the bowel to the outside of the body. Bowel content is “re-routed” to exit through the stoma on the outside of the abdomen.

Diet for stomas

Diet plays a key role in the management of stomas. Some interventions that may be considered in the management of your stoma can include:
